So nice to meet you again, my name is Luca Desogus (yes, I'm Italian although my Sardinian surname can mislead you).
I study — or at least I'm trying to —
Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano
and actually I'm quite
fond of typography, illustration, 3d rendering and motion graphics.
Even though I'm only 21, in all these years I built myself from
the ground up and I'll go on studying graphic design
because,
you know, you learn something new everyday, don't you? So, having said that,
how about we take a look at some of my work?
Oh, before I forget: I'm the guy in these pics below — just in case you didn't get it!
Despite of going to scientific high school where nobody really
teaches graphic design, once I went to Politecnico I managed just fine to code,
use Creative Cloud and render 3d models.

Since we did
a lot of homework related to this topic,
I thought it

The name of this booklet is a reference to a manifesto written and published by
Ken Garland along with other designers in 1964. During Typography Course hosted by Marta Bernstein,
I had to design a layout for this using only one font and black color.
This is magazine designed for Iso Rivolta, an Italian brand no longer alive, in Lab of Metadesign.
My team and I had to express the main value of the brand, enterprise.
Our declination was focused on challenge, as you can see by the name of the magazine.
For our Economy Course we had to develop an app choosing
a sector in which we could think it was worthy and useful. We came out with Aptive, which helps CEOs and venture capitalists
of a company to monitor the stress of their employees.
As for the magazine, we had to do a brand video
for Iso Rivolta in Lab of Metadesign.
My team and I
were bound to spread high value
in terms of brand identitiy. We decided to focus again on challenge and so it was the result.
